Opps, should be a picture here

The process of creating a 3 dimensional illusion on 2 dimensional surface is magical to me. I am attracted to scenes and images in nature that capture, mood, lighting, texture and color so effectively that they transport the viewer to a place or time in their memory. I am no longer concerned with “making a statement”, which some believe is the job of being a real artist. The subjects I choose to paint have moved me in some way and make me want to capture that particular moment in time on canvas. The exploration and process of encapsulating a snapshot of time in a painting is pure joy to me. My hope is that the viewer will take that journey with me.
